Good vision in early childhood is essential to ensure that a child does not miss out on important learning during these critical years before starting school. We have found that children may experience visual difficulties at any age, therefore our daycare vision testing program is open to all age groups, particularly if the child's parent or educator feel there may be a visual issue or developmental delay.
Our experienced optometry team, led by behavioural optometrist Linda Nguyen, can provide comprehensive school readiness vision checks.
- We use child-friendly tests to ensure thorough and reliable eye tests are done in a familiar, relaxed environment.
- We reduce the need for external appointments, to support early detection and timely management of vision-related learning difficulties.
- Comprehensive children's vision testing goes beyond the traditional NSW StEPs Screening tests. Our eye tests include checks for vision and eye health, colour vision, depth perception and binocular vision testing such as eye tracking, eye teaming and eye focussing issues
- A report is given to parents following the eye test
- If further dilated testing is recommended, we provide referrals to appropriate optometrist / ophthalmology clinics
