We take the stress out of eye tests by offering mobile visits to clients in supported and independent living homes.
- We understand that everyone has different abilities, and our goal is to provide the most thorough eye examination possible on the day—at a pace that suits each individual’s needs and comfort.
- Examinations can be performed from a bed, wheelchair, or regular seating.
- Our optometrist, Linda Nguyen, has extensive experience testing patients with disabilities across all ages—from children to seniors. Non-verbal patients are also welcome.
- Please note: Linda has completed the following NDIS Quality & Safeguards modules: NDIS Induction Module and Supporting Effective Communication.
- A selection of disability-friendly spectacles is available to browse if needed, with adjustments made on the day and delivery by post.
- Comprehensive testing includes checks for vision and eye health, such as dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and more. Vision checks also include a binocular vision assessment to check for eye coordination and eye focussing issues.
- A Functional Vision Assessment Report is provided to help the client’s care team better understand their visual abilities and limitations.
- Recommendations are tailored with the client’s capacity-building goals in mind.
- Our optometrist is therapeutically endorsed and can prescribe medicated eye drops if needed.
We work closely with the client’s family and care team to ensure their eye care needs are fully understood and supported.
